I first met Neil when I was Stage Managing a local festival in 2012, he came along to help as he wanted to learn and get into the industry. Over the years we have worked together on various festivals and events, and he has always gone above and beyond to make things look good no matter what the budget is! He has also worked for me at Fly by Nite in our warehouse loading and unloading equipment and backlines so has a good understanding of that side of the industry as well. Neil will always put on a good show and is a very reliable and loves what he does!

I have known Neil for many many years and met him while working at fly by nite. Neil started by doing work free of charge to gain experience and knowledge of the industry. I got to know Neil quite well during this period and decided to give him a chance to do some crewing for me. He became a valued member of our crew and picked up valuable experience to help him along his way. Neil decided to go in for lighting and has been a great asset to many of his clients. I would like to wish Neil all the best in his new business venture.

I came across Neil during the Meltdown Retreat in November 2019. I didn’t really know much about him, but as I came to know him during that weekend and experience the lighting show he put on for Meltdown, I was seriously in awe of his work.
Being involved in the music industry for many years and being the owner of the biggest Christian Metal Magazines in the U.K. called The Metal Onslaught have seen great deal of lightshows and special effects with stage shows, but what I accounted was second to none professionalism beyond words and willing to do what is needed for any show great or small.

I’ve seen Neil grow and develop over the years, when he has been involved with projects I have worked on I’ve found him to be enthusiastic and methodical and willing to undertake a number of different tasks and not afraid to ask for help where required.
It is great to see Neil go from local events and work his way up to working on bigger events and in bigger venues, it’s always nice bumping into him on site. Ultimately Neil is reliable, happy to help and puts the effort in to make the show or event he is working on a success, his passion undeniably shines through.

Neil has been integral to our production set up from the start of our event business in 2017. The enthusiasm he has is endless and works so hard with us to get the perfect lighting balance to each show, whether it's full Rock band, solo acoustic, or comedy.
We have recommended Neil to many venues to design and build their in-house stage lighting and has never let us down. Professional to the end competitively priced and always an exciting show.

My Christian rock music organization has staged concerts and tours for the past 40 years. In that time, we have used many different sound and lighting engineers and music producers. Neil is without doubt one of the best lighting engineers that we have ever worked with. In 2019 Neil travelled with us to provide lighting at the Rainbow Rock Festival in Sweden and again at the 2019 Meltdown hard music retreat. Neil lives for a good light show and you will not go wrong placing your concert lighting in his capable hands.

Neil is part lighting team at Rock and bowl and has been absolutely core to the success of the festival
He is entirely charged with the continuous improvement of the “look” of the 2nd stage and also operates the main stage console when needed. He is always there on the difficult load in and load out phases and grown into the role of ensuring the site tech logistics happen smoothly. He has also been instrumental in coaching enthusiastic starters in the lighting world to learn and have a go and generally ignited their passions. We would really miss Neil if he were unable to be a part of the festival family.

Managing Director of EMCd and Co-director at The Rock and Bowl Festival
We first met Neil whilst heading tech on a small festival back in 2012. Neil had arrived as part of a small bunch of newbies to the event world. He proved then he was a keen motivated person.
Since then Neil has pushed himself to grow his passion with lighting in the events industry. He has provided his services from just a general tech to creating well thought out and extremely effective lighting plans for many of my events. I have the confidence in him to take a basic concept for an event and to return with a fully planned solution.
His passion and confidence for the industry is immediately visible when you start a conversation with him and I hope he will continuity work with us for many years to come.

Neil provided, prepped, and operated lights for a music video “checkered lines” by Redfeather. Neil was a pleasure to work with as the setup and pack down was organized extremely well and the lights looked amazing on the day. Working with Neil before on many events big and small I knew I could leave the idea to Neil, and he would provide us with a great lighting show for a great price.

Due to restrictions remaining through June 2021 I had to change the feel of a performance as the audience couldn't dance. Neil at Genesis Lights was the perfect addition - he turned a solo gig into a full-scale show; spots, hazers, search lights and mood enhancing washes and other technical things I don't fully understand. The audience loved it, and I loved it!
